Chat Room Program

Chat rooms aren't all that they are cracked up to be. I run an outdoor forum in which a chat room is available, and I have also been on other forums with chat rooms, and at first, they are hot additions but eventually they will die down. Now, nobody uses it at all.

I will say that the only way to get the most out of it is to schedule a "weekly" or "monthly" chat session and maybe talk about your upcoming events, news, etc..

That would be a good idea. If chats are scheduled and there are hot topics to talk about, I can see it being valuable to the members, as well as Elite.

I enjoy having everyone post threads as we are now, it allows a search to find the info one needs, everything is archived as such, would a chat not detract from the site as it is now. Having a tech available to answer questions would be a great idea but I dont feel that it has to be live, set up a posting place for the Elite web tech to work from and have him or her post solutions within a reasonable time frame say a week or so and keep the questions and answers public as to prevent the tech answering the same questions over and over.

Thanks for a fantastic site and please come down hard on any unnecessary bickering and narrow mindedness that plauges AT, keep it clean for all of us
