    Hi all....

I have the GT500 and it shoots darts, but like someone said before, that off to the left center shot gives me a ice cream headache.

I really would like for this to go away, and I don't feel like it is my responsiblity to tear it apart and start shimming the cams.

It's a new bow purchased by me with warranty, so I feel like Elite should take care of it.

    Just my .02

Give them a call. 509-529-0626 They will take care of it. Changing the washers is a five minute job. I would much rather fix it as send it. If you have a good dealer, they should take care of it as well.

Who said Elite won't take care of it call them up and they will get it right. I have had the pleasure to deal with Greg at Elite and he has been more than helpful and resourceful regarding any issues or questions with the Elite line-up.

after reading this realy mkes me wonder about considering the gt500 or z for my next new bow.i have very litle experiance with working on bows ,and dont have a press or a draw board ,that means 40min drive to the nearest elite dealer witch im doing tonight to shot an elite for the first time.is this a problem that is being corected at the factory on newer bows .or is this something to consider on my next purchase.realy dontfeel i should have to do anything to a new bow but setup paper and walkbalck tune the only time a new bow off the rack sould see a press is for peep insall.mostly sounds like this has been problem with the gt500 as it is with the z,and im mostly interested in the z.also what percentage of bows are having this problem is it one of those things that you only hear about the small handfull of problems and you dont hear about the other 95 %

    Default GT-500 Left of Center

I have had two and both have been this way and came from different places at different times, and both had different bushing from the factory- The new one was dead center, the used one was offeset. I woulld bet they are all left- But some people aren't as picky as me.

I've had mine since early summer, and as I stated before, it shoots Montecs, Slick Tricks, etc. in the same spot as fp's out to 45 yds.
It's also as smooth and DEAD quiet a bow as I have shot in my 28 or so yrs of archery....and I have shot them all at one time or another.
It just bugs me looking at the left side of my LD almost touching the outer part of the shelf, while there is a big gap under the right.
I have checked it with a laser, and the cams are dead straight....so I'm sure it's just cosmetic. I still plan on getting it fixed after season.
I would not hesitate to recommend this bow to anyone looking for a new one.

Before I got the cam spacers I was going to modify the shelf so it didnt look weird with the limb driver out that far.

It would not take much and would look factory. It's a holdover from my recurve days. I modify just about everything
Simple should not be confused with Easy
