Lets fix the way left centershot on the GT500

I purchased a "problem" GT 500 off of a friend a few days ago and followed marzomi's advice: I contacted Elite and requested the shim kit and inserted 2 .045 shims on the left side and 1 .035 shim on the right side. The bow is now shooting as good as my Fury X tuned GT 500 (just not as fast); my buddy wants to buy it back now. The CS is 7/8" and BH and Field points are grouping together at 50yds and it shoots bullet holes thru paper with Maxima 350's and Victory V Force HV1 .300's. This was the solution for this "problem" GT 500. Thanks for sharing.

Over an 11/4 off the riser to the left- I meant .075 spacers- -My GTO tunes perfectly with same arrows and speed- dead center of the handle center shot. I had to go so far off center on my last GT-500 the trophy taker was hitting up on the left shelf edge- I am going home now to play with it again.

What is 11/4ths?

I had the same level of Center shot on mine. My limb driver was on the left side of the shelf. Center shot was 1"

You said you had .075 on the left side.

Did you use a caliper to measure them?

What is the spacer on the right side reading?

1 1/4 inch on a rule to the center of the arrow from the shelf- they were .075
marked on Elites spacer pack- I ma getty ready to try the two suggested on the post. If that doesn't work thisone going back down the road- I spent five minutes tuning my out of date 08 GTO -The GT-500s are going into the hours catagory- Too much time for me and hassle for supposed newer and better bow- Thanks for responding

Just changed bushings two .045 on string side and one .035 on the other-
I got center shot with a bullet hole in paper with 1 1/8" off riser to center of paper- Still too far out and now my top cam is leaning at full draw- I'm feeling a new address coming on to someone who loves to being a bow mechanic.

OK, just go thicker on the string side and take away on the cable side until you get it right. I would suggest though, that if you have to go a lot further there's probably a larger issue and you should talk to Elite.

.020 on cable side, should be about right.
