    Default Arrow building ?

I want to start building and maintaining my arrows and need advise on equipment. Not looking to go broke or into the business just sort of a starter kit if you will. I need a saw for cutting Carbon Expresss arrows, what type of glue for the inserts and blazer vanes. Thanks.

bitz is the way to go for a jig, jo jan isn't as nice but cheeper, harbor freight sells a small chop saw for $30 for arrows, works great for me http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=42307

I use goat tuff for vanes, and gorilla glue for inserts

You can get a single JoJan or a Bohning type fletcher. As for a saw, please dont go the cheap route Carbon fiber dust is dangerous, dont cut them inside unless you have a vac hooked to the saw. If you go with a chop saw at least get a cut off blade, dont use a regular saw blade with teeth. You could buy your shafts from a shop that will cut them for you. Some shops like mine cut them for free.

Dont go cheap on glue or vanes, Blazers or Duravane Predators are the top two. I use Easton Quick Bond Glue, its the best I have ever used.
