SETUP ROUTINE FOR LIMBDRIVER REST
(1) Heat the end of the draw cord to form a ball and insert it downward through the limb button.
(2) Attach the limb button to the fork of the upper limb with the screw bottoming out in the bottom of the fork and tighten until the screw protrudes about 1/16 inch. Turn the cutout portion toward the cam to achieve the best possible clearance. Do not overtighten as this piece is plastic and the threads can be stripped.
(3) Attach the rest to the riser and slide it forward until it contacts the riser. It is more stable this way. It can be set further back to gain over draw effect.
(4) At this point cover the arrow shelf with 2 layers of moleskin to protect it from chipping as the launcher arm is pulled down but allow room on the front of the shelf for the arrow holder which is attached after the center shot has been properly set. This also silences the rest. It is also a good idea to wrap the launcher arm in moleskin.
(5) At this point the spring tension on the launcher arm should be set. This is the most important step in making this rest have optimal performance. Nock an arrow and let it lay across the launcher arm. While holding the riser in one hand hold the launcher arm down with the index finger of the opposite hand and quickly slide it to the side releasing the arm. Note what happens as the arm rises and causes the arrow to rise into the air and come back down. Carefully loosen the screw binding the circular drum which encloses the spring just enough to allow it to be turned on the shaft with resistance and slightly decrease the spring tension. Retighten the screw and test again. Make very small adjustments and repeat as many times as necessary until the arrow is fully lifted without it coming up off the launcher arm.
(6) Adjust the rest with the vertical dovetail until the arrow being supported by the launcher arm bisects the berger holes in the riser.
(7) Remove the arrow and thread the operating cord through the hole in the actuating arm. Now hold the launcher arm down against the arrow shelf while pulling the cord down tightly and tighten the set screw which holds the cord. The rest is now mounted and timed. At this time if you choose to take the effort to achieve optimal setup, you may trim the tag end to 2 inches long and singe the end and wrap it up the side of the arm and lay it alongside the cord going upward and serve it in place. Pull it tightly so that when finished the arm is now captured within a loop. Should the screw holding the cord slightly slip, it won’t really matter.
(8) Adjust your centershot and enjoy one of the most accurate fallaway rests ever conceived by the mind of man.
