How do you lower the poundage on these bows? Do you just turn the limb bolts? How many pounds will it drop for one full turn? I don't have a scale that's why I'm wondering. Thanks..

I cant tell you how many lbs 1 turn will lower your lbs but dont forget to loosen the screws on the side of the limb pockets before you start backing off the limbs.

1 turn = about 5 pounds.
Thanks guys. So 2 full turns will back it out almost a full 10 pounds? I think I read somwhere on here not to do more than 2 full turns right? How much do I need to lossen the side pocket screws? Just enough so the limb can move?
2 fulls on each limb will take off 10 lbs... So if you bow is maxed out at 62 and you take off 2 turns,,, YOu'll end up at around 52-53 lbs.. THat were I shoot my Gt500 at... Shoots great too!

WHAT?!?!
Huh.. My bow came in at 72.5 lbs. I backed it out two turns and it draws soo much nicer for me now.. I was fine on the ground at 72.5 lbs but I got up in the tree stand for some practice and it was just too much.. I'm liking it alot more now.. Thanks for your help guys..
60 kills! I can pull 70 and 80, But nerves and mother nature, when its cold out can determine the out come. When a person gets cold hunting, I'd rather have a rifle, shotgun. I'm an old duck hunter, love the late hunt, as well as the late bow season! Been doing more late season bow hunting lately, allot. Shot, 3 whitetail and a black bear last year with a Z-32 60# Pearson. I only get 60# maxxed out now! And it's not that I am not outside during theb cold, I am a havac tech. and I'm fixing rooftops all the time! I ice fish all weekend long, most times with a shack just to hall the grill for grub.
