    Default Sword Trident Hunter

Anybody using this sight? Especially for hunting?

I like my Twilight Hunter. I have 2 pins...1 for 20, 1 for 40; very simple. I would like to be able to practice shooting out further, say 60-80yds. I also don't want to just add more pins to my sight b/c I don't want to clog up the sight picture.

Any info on this sight would be appreciated. Is it too big/cumbersome for hunting? Just what I'm looking for? Easy to use? All comments welcome.

I know there are several dealers here, too. How much does a G1 camo one cost?

One guy on AT said he uses 6 pins from 10 - 60, then tapes off marks up to 100 and uses the 60yd pin as he adjusts the sight. I would like to do that with my 2 pins. The bottom is a green .010 and should work well.

I see some similiarities with the Titan in that sight minus the dovetail. Looks good.

I have a trident( the dovetail comp model but same really) It will work well as you describe. You could set you tape for the top or bottom or any pin. The trident comes with the small elevation block not the long one like the last pic shows, but Danny got me a long one so they are interchangeable.
I shoot it as a 1 pin and its great, I can set it out to 150+yrds but ultimately for a hunting sight it will be limited to groundblinds and treestands. I need faster adjustment of a 1 pin sight with max adjustment.

How are the adjustments made? Just by screwing the knob? What keeps it from unscrewing while shooting or crashing through the bushes? I guess I need to see one personally. I'll give Sword a call this afternoon.

I don't think I would ever touch the adjustment while hunting, unless I can hit good at longer ranges (past 50yd). Most of my hunting is from a treestand and I can only see so far. I would mostly use it for practicing and shooting in the yard.

Are there other(better) alternatives for a 2-pin moveable site? HHA?
