    Default Backing out GT500

I was just wondering if anybody else with the GT500 was having a heck of a time backing the limbs out. The bottom bolt was very stiff but smooth and the top was just a bear.

So two people (at least) have GT500s already, besides the 3 evaluation bows sent to the "special" people...???

I had a guy that wanted to see how the bow draws. He is battling a bad shoulder and has been shooting an Allegiance at 53lbs with no problems. Wanted to see if he could get a 50-60 gt500 and start at lower pounds now and work his way up to 60 by fall.

I backed it out 1 1/2 turns but it was not fun. I guess I just wondered if anybody else experienced this or if there was a easy fix or a reason it was so hard.

I hope they're not all like that.
I like to adjust the weigh to the most comfortable/highest #'s.
Maybe it'll be #70 , or #67, or whatever feels right.

That happens occasionally in any brand of bow, you need to be careful, you don't snap the bolt.
I suggest you you take the strings off, and relax the limbs before you turn it. The bolt is probably dry, see if you can work some grease in to it. (spray grease works well).

    Default Limb Bolts

I had the same problem with my E-500. There is an Excellent product from "Scent Control Systems" that makes lubricants, solvents and a paste that I place on my bows limbs, sting, cams and riser that repells water or any moisture. All is ODOR FREE. They make products for guns and fishing equipment also. The lubericants work great on the limb bolts, sight bolts from rusting, even on the broad head inserts for oxidation. The oil I use on all bolts on each bow that I have and when I set bows up in my shop. The paste I rub on the limbs, riser, string, sights ETC... I even did a dimo were I dipped the bow in a tub of water and when I pulled the bow out, all the water repailed off. Here is how you can get this product: Contact John Sites at 606-928-6326 or email at www.borderssportinggoods.com tell them Kelly Sexton refered you. They are also an Elite Dealer....
