    Default Backing out GT500

I was just wondering if anybody else with the GT500 was having a heck of a time backing the limbs out. The bottom bolt was very stiff but smooth and the top was just a bear.

I had a guy that wanted to see how the bow draws. He is battling a bad shoulder and has been shooting an Allegiance at 53lbs with no problems. Wanted to see if he could get a 50-60 gt500 and start at lower pounds now and work his way up to 60 by fall.

I backed it out 1 1/2 turns but it was not fun. I guess I just wondered if anybody else experienced this or if there was a easy fix or a reason it was so hard.

I hope they're not all like that.
I like to adjust the weigh to the most comfortable/highest #'s.
Maybe it'll be #70 , or #67, or whatever feels right.

The bows are suppost to be adjustable right? 50-60,60-70,70-80.

That happens occasionally in any brand of bow, you need to be careful, you don't snap the bolt.
I suggest you you take the strings off, and relax the limbs before you turn it. The bolt is probably dry, see if you can work some grease in to it. (spray grease works well).

Yea they are adjustable, I was just joking with him!!!!

I will say the bows are more efficient and will give you better performance at the top of the weight range.

So two people (at least) have GT500s already, besides the 3 evaluation bows sent to the "special" people...???
