Just curious what the draw, let off etc etc is like....I bought my Z28 having never shot one,but I had shot other Elites...I have only shot the 2012 Strothers at ATA(mehhh)..

Let me clarify. There was guy on AT looking to trade his SX-1 and I was considering offering my GT as a trade. I was at a Strother dealer to get a string and cables made and installed for my GT. I asked him about the SX-1 and he said keep the GT, it is a better bow. He did say that Strother's 2012 offerings were going to be better, but if you shot them and weren't impressed, I doubt you'll like the SX-1. With that said, everyone likes something different...

Thank you for the Clarification. Now that I think about it,I did see a ton of SX1s for sale used at one time.....The 2012 Strothers line wasnt bad.but nothing out this year made me feel the need to drop the coin needed to get a Brand new bow..Im still sitting here shooting a old, slow 2010 Z28....A used Answer has been temping me though.Or a pure,or pulse or Envy or GT500 Or ???????.......................................

So we talked a while and he was right, the price was almost too cheap to pass up for a new bow (but I'm still paying restitution for those liquor stores I knocked off a while back so I had to pass)

Anyway, he continued by saying that he dropped Athens and Strothers because the companies were hard to get parts from and warranty work done. He had a couple of older model Athens bows cheap too.

It's really hard to beat the big three (or four) around here.....and you sure aren't going to do it with poor CS. I hope these smaller companies make it in the long haul. Dealers dropping the little guys is bad for the archery industry as a whole.....especially when these guys build some great bows.

I would place Strother, Athens and Elites CS well ahead of the top 3... anyday.

I'll be honest, I thought the same thing.....but this guy had no good things to say about about any of the above.....but that should be taken with a grain of salt.......cause I don't really know the guy.

Nothing wrong with Strother CS! I havent had an issue with my Wrath, but have requested some trivial things from Strother and they have been TOP notch.
As good if not better in my opinion to Elite.

Mathews, Hoyt, Bowtech.... PSE is close to Hoyts numbers and would be #4

Mathews and BT still lead in total $$$$$ from sales.. This includes Mission and Diamond

Parker sells a ton of bows as well but with a much lower price point.

Most top 3 dealers care about 1 thing.. selling their required number of top 3 bows so they dont lose their dealership...and to be quite honest with you I dont blame them.
