    Default Known Distance

I noticed this year in my area more and more clubs are going to shoot's where one can use a rangefinder . I went to one this year and I admit , i enjoyed the heck out of it . Seemed alot more relaxing . Alot more talking in the group , people didn't seem as uptight . I still shoot all unknown now though . Just wondering if your seeing a trend of more known distance shoot's in your area . Range finder's sure give's one more confidence on the 45 and 50 yarder's though . Shot a clean round which I know I never would have done on a unknown . My clean round though I contribute to my K-Mart stabilizer , and Tru glow site . LOL

I would be interesting in 3D if I could find known distance shoots in my area. I don't have enough arrows to be busting them up! Maybe after I get some shoots under my belt, I would be more comfortable shooting unknown. I would probably still bust a few arrows though!

I don't see how anyone could be worried about losing arrows shooting bowhunter class? If you are shooting open class then you shouldn't be concerned either, why have a lens and long stab if you can't tell 30 yards from 50? Around here it seems they make too many courses too easy with the majority of shots between 20 and 25 yards, how are you going to get better if you never challenge yourself.

I myself don't care if it's marked or unmarked , I just love shooting . I think a guy will see more and more of it as time goes on . I think it will draw the people that are leary to shot a 3d range for the first time . Also I think alot of people won't mind shooting a little longer range when it's marked . Attendance in my area at local shoots is way down . I'm talking less than 20 people at a shoot . Something has to be done .
