    Default String center serving ?

If your nock does not fit the center serving good how does this effect accuracy?I have a new set and the nocks are very loose on the serving.I tried a nock set above and below the nock to keep it from sliding around.Should I have this string reserved to fit the nocks? Thanks for any input.

Not sure about loose nocks, but I know tight nocks will mess up accuracy for sure. I switched to Accu-Nocks this year and like them a lot. They fit loose but they can't fall off due to the clip built into them. Also have used the Bohning Double Locks with good results. Stay away from the Carbon Express nocks that come standard on the Maximas, they are VERY tight on the strings and gave me flyers quite frequently.

Yes you do not want tight nocks. The arrow should be able to move freely without the nock coming off the serving. Meaning if the arrow fell off your rest it would still stay nocked but hang down without any binding. I too use the Bohning Double Locks and like them alot. Only nock I will use going forward. Plus I really like the looks of them.

    Second that!

If you nock an arrow and hold the bow horizontally so the arrow points downward, you should be able to rotate the string between your fingers without turning the nock/arrow. Plus, the arrow should not fall off if you snap the string with your finger. Be careful of tying the nock sets too close to the nock. Leave ~1/32" to prevent nock pinch.
