This is what Im asking. Who had success with a pulse in tournaments.

I had success with the GT500 with Rev cam in pro class. Diffiantly not ruling out going back to that bow. Have always regretted selling it.

Eric or Kevin which bow do you use for IBO speeds? Other staff shooters.

Elite been successfull for a small manufactuer in tournaments. You see more and more Elites at tournaments.

I disagree with Maybee-R on if Elite made more tournament bows you would see more talk about Elite. Its not that, its the big three offering contingency to their pros. Elite has made and still is making good tournament bows. The XLR is my favorite, and the Tour is really good also. I am currently shooting the Tour for tournaments. In ASA you see people shooting all kinds of bows long ata to short ata bows. Eric Griggs proved it this year. His first ASA tournament with the tour he made the shootoff.

I shot the pulse for IBO, at my draw I am getting 315 fps (27 3/4"). It shoots really well for a bow of this speed and brace height.

I dis agree with May-Bee r, Elites bows are good tournament bows, the XLR is my favorite but I won two semi pro tournaments with it. I am currently shooting the Tour foru ASA and Indoors. For indoors I shoot more consistant good scores with it than any other bow I have owned. In marked yardage 3d I have shot some good scores also with the tour. The reason really no one is talking about them for tournaments is the pros aren't offered very good contingency from Elite. When Elite does this, then you will see more of a tournament following form ametuars. Amatuers shoot what they think the pros are shooting well. Alot of the pros shoot what company pays them the most. Me personally I shoot what works, I shoot for a hobby not money. I have a day job for my living.

Didnt mean they are not good tournament bows. Just meant you would hear more about tourneys on this site if they built more along those lines. Lets be honest Elite bows are great but built For hunting first and those using them are more amateur then professional archers. I agree Money has a lot to do with that also.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.

On the pulse Kevin what do you think in poundage I could get a bow at 280fps with 28.5 draw with reasonable light arrow.

Honestly hoping around 55lbs for next 3d season. What is the let off on the Pulse.

Most likely be doing 50 lb on indoor this year and possiable for target events. 900 and field

I got to quit tearing my shoulder each year. Trying to avoid quiting all together.

    Thanks for the input.

Just chrono'd my sons last night, 29/48 w/400grn arrow shot 261 average. So, in theory, a 300 grn should be 296. Lots of room there. I shot mine well at the tourney, so you should have no problem shootin lights out with one!!! btw, I have a slow chrono!!!

DB mine was 62 pounds and 28.5 inch. A 325 grain would do 308-310 all day long.....with peep and loop

Dan I think you could shoot a 300 grain arrow at 280 at 55 lbs with the pulse. as for letoff you can set it up any way you want just depends on what you are looking for for letoff. I have mine around 80%, but it feels more like 70%. I am shooting 66 lbs, 335 grain arrow at 315 fps. 27 3/4 draw.
