Portable Presses

What are some portable presses that are approved by Elite to use on a GT500? I'm a college student so I can't afford a really nice one yet and I don't have the resources to make one on my own.

Look up Pac Press on ebay. I believe it is only $135, free shipping. You can also upgrade the press when you gave the extra $$.

I place a doubled over piece of duct tape between the string stop rod and press cable to protect the rod from being scraped up.

I figured that this would put unwanted stress on the riser and the string stop rod but I'm guessing I could be overestimating the pressure applied to the rod by the cable.

I went from 60# to 50# limbs. My 71 year old body needed a little less # for my target bow I haven't had any problems with limbs so far..

I just want to be able to take tension off of the strings and cables to twist them if neccesary, put in a peep, and install my own strings. I don't plan on breaking it down entirely.

then bowmaster is fine: i use mine:
- replace strings and cables
- install peep
- twist and untwist cables and string.

The only thing i do not do with it is limb removal
