    Default GT 500 improvements

I would like to get my bow to shoot a little less noise at the shot. Any suggestions

What type of sound/vibration dampening products do you have on the bow and string?

I have a 2008.5 GT500 and no noise problems. If out of tune badly it will definitely become loud. Might check synch and timing to be sure.

Other things to check are the cable slide rod and string stop to see if loose. Loose stabilizer can also cause noise. Make sure that the string stop is not too close the string and not slapping it too hard when shot. It should be about a credit cards width away from the rubber stop. Speed nocks not only speed up the bow, but reduce string oscillation which helps quieten the bow, string dampeners help also. I use dampeners on my cable slide, string stop and stabilizer all which quiet the bow without slowing it down. I try not to use dampeners on the string if possible and if I use the above mentioned dampeners, find I often do not need them. Always use speed nocks however as they quiet and increase speed.

I am a big fan of the mini-cat whiskers on my binary cam bows. Seems to help a lot with all of them!

Can you be a little more descriptive? Is it a rattle or a thunk? Also, does the bow have the draw length specific cams or modded cams?
