Default 60lb limbs vs 70 lb limbs on a 2012 hunter

I just recently bought a 2012 hunter with 70 lb limbs, I've been shooting 70 lbs since I started bow hunting recently woke up with shoulder pain I was thinking of switching to 60lb limbs what type of speed or KE would be lost.

    I would guess 20-25fps and approx 10KE.

In the owners manual it lists DL relitive to speeds and also says deduct 2-3 fps for 60# max.

Who cares about speed , this is about extending your shooting to a ripe old age . You won't be disappointed with 60# limbs. Pay attention to what your shoulders are telling you .

I recently changed out the 60lb limbs on my 2010 GT500 to 50lb limbs. Major improvement in shooting comfort. Still have plenty of speed & KE to take anything I'm going to hunt in the northest, and it shoots better (more accurately) because I'm more comfortable with it. Try it, you'll really be glad you did!

You can run a speed/KE check on several online calculators to compare what you are now getting with the 70lb limbs vs. the 60lb limbs. Or, have the shop do a speed check for you before & after.

Get a statement from Elite as to what the new specs should be after you tell them that a certified Elite dealer is going to do this for you. You'll need the new specs to do a totally new tune-up after changing the limbs.
