    Default My Answer speed.

I just shot a couple of my Carbon Express Maxima Hunter 250s through my chronograph. The arrow weigh 375 grain and I am shooting 62 pounds. My draw length is 29.5". They are shooting 280 fps. Does that sound good? What do you guys think. Thanks for any info.

Based on the numbers put out by a speed approxiimator, I assumed 25 grains of weight on your string and that you are shooting a 50-60 lb bow. The number comes back at 287. You're a little bit low but not bad.

That does not sound right to me. If they were KS cams they would be about 10fps second slower when they were 60lb limbs, but no that does not seem right. I figured 20gr on the string but you have more. That would put you at 314 IBO... Maybe someone more qualified could chime in. I will let you know via pm in a few days after I get my new strings what the IBO is. I hear Korbin does wonders with strings and Maybee-R does magic with tuning

Sounds close actually. -35 or so for arrow and draw length another 10 or so for string weight. 330 -45= 285. then you always should give or take a couple for lighting and chrony.
Not including string tamers leeches what ever they are called.. lol.

My answer is setup at 70 lbs 30" dl and I have chrono'd it with 350 grn arrows at 320 fps and my hunting arrows 400 grns at 305. This is with peep, dloop, and cat whiskers.

With smooth mods at 70# 364 grain arrow 29.5" DL I'm getting 311 with custom string 309 with factory string. Peep and lop on both.
