I dunno. I'm the newbie here, and certainly not looking to get anyone's nose out of joint. I found a good deal on eBay on a "new" 2011 Pure. I didn't realize it at the time, but I apparently got lucky to receive a bow that's covered under warranty. I don't blame me for buying it, but at the same time, I understand about dealer pricing, and the bind that eBay puts on authorized dealers.
I don't want to hurt anyone's business, but there are no Elite dealers close enough for me to hurt here. At the same time, I wasn't hurting anyone's prospective business, because I wouldn't have been able to afford a new Pure at dealer pricing right now. (Hence, I wouldn't have been buying a new bow from them anyway) If I hadn't bought an eBay bow, I'd have a bought a used bow here or on the AT classifieds.
The simple fact of the matter is, eBay is here to stay. There will always be a guy here and there who lucks on to some surplus stock from a former dealer, or for whatever reason, can manage to sell bows below dealer pricing. I don't know what Elite dealers pay for their bows, but I'm almost sure Elite tells them what they can sell for.
