sounds like cracking noise
Bought a pulse in feb 2012,sounds like a cracking noise (limb noise) happens after every shot .Dont see any cracks in limb,not sure if its limb ,limb pockets etc..After I shoot I can pull it back without a arrow and hear the noise then if I pull it back again with no arrow noise is gone.Seems like if there was a load on it and shot it does it every time,any help is welcomed.
I think deerct101 had a similar issue. Cracked cable guard rod.
If its a 2012 I guess that's out though. They're aluminum now.
I would send it to Elite , a cracking sound is not a good sound and I cannot think of anything other than a cracked limb that might cause it. Might have been over tightened and now cracked under the pocket. I have owed a couple that happened to. Should never crank one all he way down without backing off at least 1/4 turn but some do.
The crack could be even with the pocket or under it. Take it off if you have a press and check. Make sure that a limb pivot is not missing (the rubber half round thing between the limb and pocket).
