I've heard the same but for the price of mods, it's worth at least trying. But since you said you want a backup bow, the Pulse would be a great choice. You can get a 2011 model for $500-$575 on here and AT.

It's hard to have a "backup" Elite IMO. They all are primary worthy!

I personally didn't like the speed
Mods. I think the Pulse is smoother than then the Answer with speed mods.

I guess for 50 bucks, or whatever you can find speed mods in the classifieds for, it'd be worth a try. I just hear it messes up the DL a tad, makes it run a bit long.

I thought the answer with speed mods drew way harder than the pulse.

This is the understanding that many understand to be fact. I can't agree but I will have to say I trust the opinion of most on here. I've just never shot them.

I thought the speed mods might have held peak weight longer but really didnt see them being all that tough. Still a better draw cycle then other manufactures in the same category.
But I do believe the Pulse may be a tad easier then speed mods. Wish the Pure had speed mods.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.

The Pure and the Pulse! If they would have had speed mods, I wouldn't have sold my Pulse. Thats alright though. My son will enjoy it, the way it is, for a very long time!
