Geno-just spent five days fly fishing in Kettle Creek, only found one fawn. Did see seven bears and thirteen elk though. The whitetails look sickly thin and are few and far between. Found a few bucks but only one of them will be legal. Not sure if the lack of any kind of mass crop affected it, but I assume it plays a roll. Fortunately the winter was mild or it would have been disastrous. Good thing the game commission decided to add 10,000 more does tags in that management unit they are way smarter than you or I.

Still no fawns spotted here either.
Up north is pretty sparse for deer. No feed up there unless there are acorns.
The guys in Elk and Cameron are p.o.'ed about the doe tag increase.
The storms of late have put down some branches with immature acorns attached.
Looks like nuts will be heavy this year.

I don't spend any time hunting the Sinnemahoning area, but when you can drive from the northern part of the park down to 120 and see 40+ along the side of the road anytime after dark, it can't be all that bad. The camp owners there whine and complain too. Its way past time everyone puts their big boy pants on and stops crying. Hunt the darn things where they are supposed to be and you'll find them.

I agree with you. The 2G orange army has been complaining for a lot of years that there are no deer. I dissagree.
I can't wait to hear them this year, the PGC increased doe tags by 10,000.

I saw my 1st one today, odd thing was it looked to be about 3 weeks old. It was trapped on a bridge and made a jump that its mother had 2nd thoughts about. I've walked my hunting property at least 2x for the last 3 weeks and haven't seen one. I'm thinking with the early spring , seems like everything is thicker and greener and the deer aren't as see-able . My area is infested with deer and the last month I haven't seen a lot of anything, compared to years past.

I keep thinking I'll see some on top of the hill by the house. A group of does have their fawns there every year it seems. Still no sightings, I'm becoming a bit perturbed
