They are looking into other materials and are thinking about allowing them but Elite has always only used 452X since they started in 2006, 8190 has been talked about and I think has been given the OK to use but I would always call Elite just to be sure since it is your warranty we are talking about. But yes 452X was the only material that would keep your warranty intact, it is stated in the owners manual if you happen to have one but I know there are a ton of used Elite's that have passed hands over the years and I have never had one come with any of my used Elite's.

What is great about the Elite Archery website is that they still have all the owners manuals going back to 2006 when Kevin & Kate had it so if you really needed one and you bought your bow used you can always print one up, I know others companies do that as well but it's nice to still be able to go back to when Elite originally started out.

Ok cool thanks! Yes it is nice to look back through the years.. yea one I bought new the other used.. For some reason I can get on a few other archery related sites at work but Elite's is blocked by "big brother" but thankfully I can get on here thru tapatalk.. thanks for all the info!

I wouldnt worry about the strings dude. Every time Elite is mentioned on TV/magazines, they always make a point of it to mention the greatness of the Elite Warranty/Hunt Guarantee...so I say get frankencrazy and use whatever. But just remember to say 'original strings', etc when talking with CS.
