Huh, what dont you like about the expert II. I love mine. Ya its not a full containment, but the arrow never hops off it anyway.

Limb Driver, either the older model with containment launch arm or new model with full containment. By the way, you can call G5 and ask for a left handed spring for your Expert II and make it limb driven, bottom or top limb.

Have used nothing but the Trophy Taker Pronghorn for years. Simple and easy, accurate and all steel.

Well Nags I know you said no limbdriver, but that is my vote and has been for years. I use the containment blade and reverse it to run off my bottom limb. I totally understand full containment if you are chasing ELK and calling and such. But for my style of hunting the LD with those few enhancements fits the bill.

I thought I heard somebody say ELK!!!! Only 94-days away!

I won't use anything but full containment any longer. I've been using Ripcords for a couple years now and really like this rest. The QADs get a lot of attention, as well. Not played with the QAD much, so I don't know a ton about them... but doesn't sound like you could go wrong with either.

I've shot LD Pros and Pro-Vs, and honestly not seen a lick of difference in the accuracy department. I am very well pleased with the Code Reds

lol I had you totally in mind when I posted that.....I never understood full containment when god gave you an index finger, until you explained your Elk hunting tactics. I was in PA hunting mode, spot n stalk, tree stand hunting, ground blind etc and they just seemed stupid to me and unnecessary.

I am just a fan of K.I.S.S, and LDs have it you set it and forget it. I have watched a ton of slow motion videos on YouTube from all sorts of different rest companies and independent people. They either drop way too fast, or bounce back severely....the QAD doesn't seem to bounce back at all which is impressive, but every video I have watched the longest they seem to support an arrow is just a few inches. Not to mention the last thing I want to be doing is readjusting rest timing two three times a year when I replace my string and cables. I am so OCD that I would be adjusting it using slow motion video.lol

While I think improvements could be made on the LD and the LD Pro V, the setup, function, and reliability is as good as it gets. My main LD is the first one I ever purchased years ago and has 1,000s and 1,000s of shots on it and it still functions like the day I put it on. If it isn't broke I surely am not gonna try and fix it.

I still have my very first LD as well, I think im gonna put it up for sale tonight, its old and im sure someone can use it..

I just have a bad taste in my mouth, I have a burnt orange limbdriver as well that is completely stripped and i cant get the bolts out. on top of it, it would not stay bolted down on my bow, i have no doubt its because of the slick finish on the rest, vaportrail offered zero help in this, which surprised me and turned me off at the same time

Those QADs sure are nice, and in the back of my mind I would like to give a LD Pro V a try.. but I dont know.
