    Default Side Plate on Pulse Warped and Creaks

    The left-hand side plate on my Pulse is a bit warped and doesn't lay flat in the in-lay section for the plate so it creaks when I draw. I took the plates off and put a couple small rolled up sections of duct tape beneath which helped but since the duct tape is flexible and has some softness, the plate can still flex and it still creaks at times. Does anybody know how much stock Elite side plates are? If I can't stock this plate from creaking, I'll have to replace it because it will drive me nuts.

    You could put some felt behind it. That should have with the creaking. I use the adhesive back felt on my rest launcher. Works great!

    As for price, I think they were $25. I have a brown set I could send you.

    Take them off, send them to Elite. If they are warped, I am sure Elite will make things right for you.

    My side plate also does that. I took a bunch of bubble wrap and wadded it up in ball, placed it behind the side plate and it helped not completely gone but good enough for me.

    The thing that's strange is the first frankenbow Pulse I got and sent back to the seller had the same creaking side plate issue. I've owned 5 Elites and only the Pulse sideplates have been an issue.

    Yep the GT, Hunter and the Answer don't have it only my Pulse.
