Just Got My SS1 and WOW........

I hate it. Seriously. I don't like it even a little bit. I put it on my AT Pulse and it looks nice all color matched with black ends and a blue rod to match my black and blue string/cable set. I took my first shot with it and after the shot, the bow felt like a tuning fork with a sustained vibration. I thought "well maybe I need to make some adjustments". I made sure the rod was not in contact with the riser, slid the rod into different positions, made sure everything was screwed down tight. No better. So I took the rubber saturn ring off my 8" hunter stab and replaced the front end cap on the SS1 with it. Marginally better but still way to much sustained vibration. I took the entire thing off and shot again with the 8" hunter stab. Much better.

Maybe this thing can be tamed down with a rubber saturn ring on each end but that's not what I had in mind when I bought it. I think I only took 12-15 shots with it but my mind is made up. It's not for me.

I'll be putting it up for sale in the trading post if anybody is interested.

I just tried it. It's better but now just bulky. I'd know if I would get used to having a side stab. It felt odd and........bulky.

Is the bracket by chance against the side of the riser? Are one of the sleeves loose? I never tried a SS1 on a Pulse but I have and still do use them on other bows and never had one oscillate like you are describing.

I adjusted it and made sure it wasn't against the riser after the first few shots I took. I think I'll give it a little more time before pulling the plug on it and see if I can get used to the feel of it. The added weight is definitely keeping the bow a little more steady but I won't keep it if I can't tame the sustained vibration after the shot.
