Numbers and results can wait until I am all done tuning, make new strings, have pics, and verify and re-verify everything, but so far...
Ben wasn't doubting merely speculation from an educated guess. DLS Rev cams could realistically hit high 330s on a GT500. I am just sceptical of the Answer cams producing 350s with the limb angle of a Judge. Now with a brace height under 6" changes it a bit, I was thinking 6" min. This is just based off my DFCs from both a GT500 and an Answer with speed mods. The stored energy and dynamic efficiency of the two is nearly identical.(I am talking 10ths of ft lbs and fractions of a percent)The only difference is the physical draw force curve. Obviously you might obtain different results by rotation of the cam. I am anxious to see what you get. Especially considering I have yet to shoot or see an Answer shoot a "real" 340 70/30 350 single nock point bare shaft. 337-338 yes which you can also get with DLS revs and a tad more BH.

Oh, I completely understand what you were saying and don't neccessarily disagree.

Now as to what I'm seeing with this so far...

The highest number my Judge would ever show me was 341 and that was at a pretty huge sacrifice in feel. I won't get too specific just yet, but I am easily there right now with more stuff on the harness then the judge had at that speed and the noise and feel at the shot are both superior to the judge in stock configuration. Draw cycle isn't much different, but the valley is shorter than the judge by a good bit. There is a ways to go to get it just right, and also a little more speed to get out of it than what I have now, I believe.

Thankfully, I haven't shared speeds on the forum yet, since I initially thought the numbers were higher then they are, but I had a chrony issue that I found after stopping by the shop to verify and getting a little different results.

Anyway, I am already very happy with this swap, and I will keep my mouth closed on it now until I am all done. I will start a new thread then with all the info I come up with.

Stock judge threads will get it to 30.5, weight goes up 5 lbs and cams are rotated goofy, but it'll do it, lol. could have used more let-off at that point too, so you could have untwisted the string and threw the cams into an even more goofy angle and probably got 31, LMAO.

This is so funny....I've got one identical, and it's in my parents basement, i got it when i was 6, shot fingers and prayed it didn't rip an ear off. It has the steel cables that you manually fit onto the rollers. Later in turned it into a carp killing machine...... I asked my dad he said he bought in 1974.....

Unfortunately nothing ever came of it. I may get back to it with smooth mods at some point. I never got beyond where I was when I last posted on this thread. A lot has had to go on the back burner for me and pretty much everything to do with hunting, shooting and personal projects have been neglected. I will say this, with speed mods, I don't believe it was a worthy endeavor. At the point I stopped with it, I was only about 3 fps faster than my Judge was stock, had too little let-off for my liking, and it was sort of a bear really, no matter how I tried to talk myself into liking it, lol.
