    Default Poison Ivy, again!

Okay, so what do you guys do when ya get it? I Moved a $h!tpile of dirt with my skidsteer last weekend in the wind, and let the itching begin! I have it from my ankles to my eyelid.

I'll take any suggestion, as long as ya don't tell me to stick it any of my orifices.

I'm very serious, but at the same time, have some fun, I need a laugh.

Fortunately i only get it in a very small patch on my forearm. I have opened the blisters & used alcohol or gas. It burns but dries it up. In your situation i don't recommend that.

So did you get the pile all spread out or back at it this weekned? Anyways not sure what to do in the Mid-west for treatment other than get special soap that will help it from spreading. Salt water swims always seemed to help dry it up, so I guess you could head to Cancun or the Baja and look for Tiko. Also had hear goat's milk will help prevent outbreaks as long as the goat has ivy as part of it's diet.

If I was in Cancun or Baja, it wouldn't be guys I was lookin at, or for, sorry Tiko! Got a prescription for prednisone, pills not the shot. The shots give me mood swings. Lucky for me, my seatbelt kept me in the car when some jack*ss took my parking spot! Lucky for me cuz there were about 5 really big guys that got out. WHEW!!!

So seat belts really do save lives and prevent injuries.

I get it bad. Typically winds up with a visit to the emergency room. I'm extremely cautious these days, so I've avoided for 5 years now. They give me a shot of hydrocortizone, I look like the elephant man by that point. It does enlarge my penis though.

I get it horribly...no matter how careful I am...Heck, I think I just got some just from typing this...

Home remedies and OTC stuff is all crap and a waste of money...Go get the shot from your DR...begins helping very quickly and clears things up much faster than anything else...

When I was a kid they wouldn't give the shot, so my old method was taking a wire brush, wrapping it w/a towel, scrubbing the effected area down raw, and then douse it w/bleach. Hurts like a SOB, but instant killer. Good luck.

I have had it really bad mulitiple times and always get a steroid prescription (prednisone) for it. Within a day or 2 the medicine starts to clear up but red patches remain for weeks.
When I was in for it about 2 weeks ago, I told the urgent care doc to put a note in my file that I should be able to get a refill upon a call in request as I know I will get into some again with a month of turkey hunting left here in Wisconsin.

On the flip side, the hottest water possible in the shower is almost orgasmic in satisfaction on affected areas. A short lived thrill though until the itching continues.........

I use Zanfel. Over the counter stuff that seems to work pretty good for me...not the cheapest though.
