    Default Pure vs. Carbon matrix

This new carbon matrix has caught my attention for some reason, looked at a matrix down at the proshop the other day and I liked it, just wondering if anybody here has shot one beside a pure and how it compares in the speed, draw cycle and noise departments? Still loving my pure, but it is a bit of a dog in the speed department.

Matrix. Faster, loads twice in the cycle, very very quiet. No hand shock. That said I still bought a new elite. The matrix was on my short list. Even at the same price I'd still take my pulse. Something kind of indescribable, the elite just felt like a better bow. The pulse actually wasn't even on my list, it was just hanging next to the answer and I had to shoot something while they set the dl on the answer.

Matrix is faster quieter more dead in the hand than pure. Draw cycles dont compare hoyt is stiff not harsh but stiff with a hump. Matrix is WAY lighter bow! Elite finish is by far a better product. I have 2 matrix and a pure and shoot the matrix alot more just due to bow weight and less vibe.
    Lots of Elites!

How much quicker would you guys say, I know it has a smaller brace height so its not a fair comparison.

It is a fair comparison....the bows specs are close enough that you can throw specs out the window. The Pure is longer by an inch ata...the Matrix is 1/4" shorter in bh. Which really amounts to an ant hill of a difference in the grand scheme of things.

The Pure is "rated" faster....but everyone knows that Hoyt usually list their IBOs on the LOW side.....I would be very shocked and would suggest getting the bow setup again if you had both bows shot side by side with the same arrow, dw and measured dl and the Matrix wasn't faster. The Pure is rated at 326-330 fps and the Matrix is rated at 325 fps. I have yet to find a Pure that is faster then my Katera XLs which was a 315-318 IBO bow.

I have a buddy with a 28 inch dl. He owns both. the valley is jumpy short with the matrix compared to the longer more letoff valley of the Pure.
Pure is easier to draw for both of us. Speeds go to the Matrix. His was 5fps quicker then his pure. Same set up basically.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.

Yep..I hate the cams on the Matrix....Wish they had put Z3s on it instead. the Pure has an incredible draw cycle. Probably one of the best out there. The difference in specs and speed can be thrown out the window. Nobody is going to notice 5 or so fps on target.

Ishoot both the Vector35 (60/29/2012) and the Pure (60/29/2011). While there is no doubt that the RKT cam is a vast improvement over the Fuel cam on the Hoyt, for feel the Elite is still tops in my book. The Vector is faster by about 7 fps with both bows set up with the same accessories. Now here is the crazy thing .... in indoor 3D this winter I alternated the bows and again, these bows have identical accessories. On the nights I shot the Elite, I averaged almost 35 points more than the nights I shot the Hoyt.
