You shouldn't have any trouble getting two birds. I got my bow setup this weekend and practiced out of the blind. The forecast is looking great! Hope the birds cooperate.

Good friend from college married a girl from Grant county and my buddy does quite a bit of hunting on her families farm. Killed a 160" whitetail there this year. If we strike out at home we might head up the second weekend to hunt there. Not too far from you at all. Good luck!

I've actually never hunted in KY. A buddy of mine is taking me to his grandpa's place (on the wife's side of the family). Good luck to you as well!
No luck for me this weekend. Couldn't get the birds to talk. Hopefully they were henned up and will be a little more cooperative next weekend.

We saw only one hen on Saturday. Heard several gobble, but no dice. Hopefully heading out again next weekend if we can find another place to head to.
Could have had at least 3 by now if stupid things didn't happen or had my shotgun. Still not breaking down and taking it though. Rolled one at 35 yards and it got up and ran off!!! Gonna try again this weekend. Birds have been acting weird this year with the breeding season hitting a lot earlier this year!!!

Had more jakes come in today. I saw 12 birds this morning and not a single Tom. I guess they are breeding the hens up on the mountain and just staying up there. Heading after them with a shotgun tomorrow.

Cooled off and rained overnight/this morning. Saw a couple hens and a coyote. Going back out this afternoon to see if they will come in. I haven't ever gone this long without getting a bird. Still no gobbling.
