Guys, talk to me about how awesome the Answer is.

I am likely going to be coming back to the Elite family. I had a Z7 then a Pulse (thought it was kind of loud) then a Vengeance (awesome but we all know how that goes) then added and Omen Pro (amazing but I dont know about hunting from a treestand on a cold day with it) and now am basically selling the Vengeance and Omen Pro to fund an Answer purchase.

I really like the simple clean look and feel of an Elite bow and just want something solid with a warranty behind it. 33 ATA is basically the sweet spot for me and I mainly hunt and shoot targets for fun (and at 10 yards in my basement).

I will probably go with the speed mods as I like my arrows to have some zip to them and dont mind having to pay for it with some draw, I dont mind the Omen Pro draw too much.

How is the Answer different in feel/performance from the 2011 bows?

How much speed can I expect from the smooth mods and speed mods at 28/70 with a loaded string and 360gr arrow?

Are the finish issues pretty much handled, what was that all about?

What else do I need to know?

Yes I did shoot it and I love the away Elites feel and shoot. However, the one i shot was visibly out of sync and the Hunter I has shooting next to it shot WAY better (obviously).

It is much smoother than one expects, and plenty fast. It is the best shooting 80# bow I have had in my hands...

The Answer is the smoothest and easiest Elite I have shot.( I never shot a Hunter)
I have smooth mods on right now and at 28/70/350 I am getting 304fps. with a loaded string.
I had speed mods on it but absolutely love the silky smoothness and quietness that the smooth mods provide.
The Answer is stiff up front in the draw cycle but drops the weight very quickly and into the back wall in one fluid motion.
This gives you a feel of a much lighter DW.
Letoff and valley are excellent.
The Answer is, without a doubt the quietest bow I have ever shot.

This is a DFC Mike Derus posted comparing the smooth and speed mods on the Answer.
This may help you see the difference.
Notice the drop off of weight on the smooth mods. That is sooooo sweet.
I have a Pulse and Judge if I want a speed demon so I'll take buttery on the Answer.
As is all the Elite's it's dead nuts accurate.
One thing about the Answer is that it holds more vertical in your hand , probably due to
minimal cam lean that creates less side torque on these bows.

Great choice for a hunting bow for sure.

mine is wisper quiet same on bothe mods,i switched to speed mods and there the same quiet and fast,dead in the hand as well,best elite ive owned to date

I used to think that my Tribute was the end all hunting machine. Not any more. I think Elite is going to have to work long and hard to top the Answer in my opinion. Smooth don't do it justice. I'm in love.

I just got my Answer 29/70 with the speed mods as well. It is quieter than my Pulse and smoother to shoot. I absolutely love my Pulse 20/70 but the Answer is even better. The only difference on the speed mods other than speed is that it is slightly harsher on the draw at the beginning than my Pulse. The Answer with the speed mods feels like I am drawing 70lbs whereas the Pulse it feels like I am drawing 60lbs. With the smooth mods it feels even smoother than my 70lb Pulse. The bow is absolutely dead in the hand. Absolutely amazing!!!
