That's what I thought too when me and a few buds booked a hunted a while back. After coming back from new Brunswick my thoughts changed. It was not as easy as it looks.

How can that be exciting. Just the whole thing about it turned me off. Just not sport in it if you ask me. Plus, I dont really agree with shooting wild cats, like the mountain lion, where there doesnt seem to be huge populations of them. I guess most of the animals they shoot on these hunting shows are in high abundance, so it doesnt bother me. But I think it was the lameness of the hunt and how they did it. It was almost as bad as a show I saw where these two guys were walking a fire road that was higher in elevation than the swamp they were watching for gators in. The gators were all over the place sunning themselves and these two guys just found the biggest one and shot it with a high powered rifle. Big F...ing deal I said to myself....Where is the sport in that. Retarded if you ask me. These guys were high fiveing like they just accomplished something of greatness.

So, ya this is my own opinion and thats just how I feel. Some of the hunting that take place is lame, just so someone can say theyve shot something most dont get to shoot. But its the way they do it, that just didnt seem very exciting and unfair I guess.

    You going to be OK?

Sad when many just cant except hunting done so many ways. Dogs have been used hunting sense the early days of man.
Most hunters often treat there hunting dogs better than there kids and family.

JUst understand how you hunt most likely offends someone else as well.

I guess hunting rabbits with beagles or pheasants with bird dogs is no good also.

Everyone has their own opinions of what a hunt should be and as long as its legal, its OK with me. By the way, the deer in your avatar is probably illegal in many areas of the country now....

Hunting cats with dogs in the rugged mountains is more sporting and fair chase than any whitetail hunt I have ever been on. Just because the dogs "do all the work" you still have to get to the tree, which could be 3 miles over a mountain top in snow up to your **s, to take the shot and hope the cat doesn't jump out of the tree when he sees you coming and run another 3 miles. It is a very exciting hunt.

If there is a small population of these predators, they wouldn't be allowing hunters to harvest them. Also I do respect your opinion about this type of hunting not being your cup of tea however if game is harvested legally w/in the laws of that state, in my opinion, that is still an ethical harvest
