I've thought about giving this a try, but I do have my bow on my lap or on the ground next to me (horizontal) with an arrow knocked while calling for elk. Good chance that containment blade may work, but it's 100% chance it'll stay in with my Ripcord. One less thing to think about, which is a good thing with my lack of brain-power!

Well in that scenario it makes perfect sense to me why you would choose the FC. I was only thinking about the way(s) I hunt, spot and stalk whitetails, and turks or being in a treestand/blind. Can you tell I have never chased Elk?lol

I'm sure I could use a LD just the same, just be more aware. I tend to lose self-awareness when a bull is screaming at me, though!

Get yourself to CO and I'll put you on some elk Just make sure you have a week or two free every Sept afterwards, because you'll be hooked for life!

Even though I have a tight spot on he hunter i don't shoot with my quiver on so I haven't noticed any clearance issues.

Yep I can totally understand how you might loose your mind. Never once even gave thought to calling Elk when asking the question.

Don't tempt me with that offer.....you might end up with a crazy backwards Pennsylvania guy at your door.

As BlindBuck illustrated with the capture blade, the Limbsaver arrow holder also does a great job.

Not going to argue how well the LD capture blades work because i have used one for 5 years. What i can tell you after using the QAD and LD Pro,of those three the QAD does the best job at containing the arrow and it is not even close. It all depends on what you are wanting from your rest. If movement like spot and stalk or brush of any kind is a factor get the QAD. If sitting in a treestand and walking to and from your vehicle is the only way you hunt any of them will work great. But for full containment with no arrow movement or flopping around the QAD is the best answer. And i have the new Trophy Taker on order so i will get to play with it in a couple months.
