    Default Mathews MR6/7 vs Elite GT500

    Which do you perfer and why?
    How do they compare?

    Draw cycle(easyness to pull back,smoothness):

    Accuracy:

    Speed:

    Back wall:

    Vibe:

    Balance:

    Etc.
    I am gonna be getting a new bow. Looking at getting something easier to pull back than the gt500. How does the MR series bows match up to the gt500 on ease of draw? I know i could go lighter on weight but would like to be around 60# still. I can and am shooting 60-62# with the gt500 but its a bit tough. Looking for something a little easier to draw. I have several threads started (i know but i keep finding more info on other bows) regarding how easy bows are to pull back. How do the MR series bows and GT500 compare?

    I have owned 2010 GT500 and both a 2010 M7 and 2011 MR6. I actually traded the M7 to get a GT500. The Mathews don't hold a candle to the GT in any of the categories you listed. I was more accurate with the GT and really struggled with the weight of the M and MR. I have since come back to the Elite family and will not be leaving anytime soon!

    I do not believe the M or MR are as smooth on the draw and the back wall is much more solid on any Elite....

    If you like the gt I suggest shooting it backed off ans slowly increase the weight. You have plenty of time until next hunting season. It will be near impossible to find a bow smoother than an elite. Some are stiffer on the draw though. A good indicator of how stiff the draw will be is the ibo speed. The higher the ibo the stiffer the draw. You might wanna try a z28 or hunter. Even if it was true no one would recommended a monster over gt on this site. If you went on mathews forum they would all tell you the monster is better. That said I haven't liked the draw of any of the mathews after the drenalin and dxt.

    What year GT do you have? I have heard the 2010's are a little smoother than the 09's.
