I may be giving up my beloved Rockets for the Ulmer Edge....They have taken the Rage a step further..... Plus took the best of other heads and incorporated it...

1. Muzzy style tip
2. Rocket/Snyper rubber band blade retention
3. RM Gator blade deployment and blade pivot around big bones
4. Both sides of the blades sharp like the Ramcat

These great features all packed into one head! I am excited to give these a try, should be a homerun in the broadhead industry!!

I have killed two animals with these heads and they are the real deal. I will be shooting them.

The Ulmer Edge was designed by Rusty Ulmer the brother to Randy Ulmer. The broadhead has many great features making it a must try for those of us who hunt with expandable broadheads. Some of the features that I really like are:

1) Adding one set screw makes the broadhead a practice head. This set screw holds the blades in place so you can practice with the actual broadhead you hunt with.

2) The rubber band that holds the blades closed is recessed into the ferral. This makes it so the rubber band does not move when you place it in your quiver.

3) The blades lock into place when they open. This is important because the blades are sharpened on both sides so if you do not get a pass through and the arrow backs out it will continue to cut the entire time.

4) The blades also pivot as one. This means they can move around obstacles like bone upon entry. This helps with penetration.

Nice looking broadhead, but I wish they were offered with a little more variety... I'd like to see a 2" version as well as 125gr. versions in 1 1/2" and 2". There's always next year...

I shot mechanicals for one year only. I didn't like how fragile the blades were. I'm switching from 3 blade 100 gr muzzys to 125 gr snuffers this year. But if I ever try a mechanical again this looks like the one.

It is aluminum, but they are work on a steel version.
