    Default t3'S

i BOUGHT SOME T3'S AND THEY ARE BRUTAL HARD TO OPEN. THEY HAVE PURPLE SPIDER CLIPS AND I HAVE THE CLIPS ON CORRECTLY ACCORDING THE PICTURE. I HAD TO PUT THE SHOULDER OF THE BLADE AGAINST THE CORNER OF MY BENCH AND PUSH REAL HARD TO GET THE BLADE TO DROP DOWN. ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM? I WOULD BE VERY WORRIED AT 30 YARDS ON A PASS THROUGH WITH ALL THE ENERGY TAKEN UP TO OPEN, IF THEY OPEN. wONDERING IF SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT WITH THE SET I HAVE.

Yes I had same deal. i sold mine and bought some extra Slick tricks. G5 has a new design which should be out by summer. A 2 blade without rubber bands, spider clips, or O rings.

Tried my 3rd one and its fine. The other two i just won't shoot that way. Seems like its hit and miss on the clips. The other two are assembled the same way as the third. I can't see any reason as to why they don't work, two clips bent back to deploy the blades and are wrecked. The third opens and closes just fine. These are expensive heads! 2 i need new clips for and haven't shot at an animal yet.
I like the 3 blades, more cutting surface than the 2 blade. Back to Tekans i guess.

G5 told me suppose to be stiff, should be fine. They are tested to open, i think he said at 4.5lbs of pressure. Two of mine bent the clips when they opened. He also said that happens quite often on targets and the clip should be a one time use on an animal. So now i have two broadheads that have been opened once each, need new clips and this could be the way it will go on every practice shot?
I think the rage will be coming back out! or Tekans i do prefer 3 blades over 2 though

My brother and I also use the T3's and they work well on most shots. Hit a doe quartering away this fall and only had 1 blade deploy (deer recovered after about 200 yds). Have had the same issue with other expandables, so I don't think it's unique to the T3. The 2 packs of heads I purchased had a bag with replacement spider clips and practice blades in each pack. Just remove the sharp blades and spider clip and replace with the dummy blades (no spider clip) and shoot away!

Hum I have never had any problems with any of the ones I've used.. I have been using them since they came out. I have shot 2 antelope and a couple deer with them. Not sure what to tell ya I even put the red clips (stiffer) and no problems with deployment. Hope you get it figured out they are a good head..
