Default My show was a success......

Two things happened that was enlightening to me......one was the Curator kept coming by me and handing me checks and secondly, a fellow there has inside pull at the Georgia Cowboy Museum of Western ART and he is getting the powers that be there to come to my show (since it will be hanging thru Feb.) and see if it is good enough for that Museum. I am upbeat about that......That puts me up there with the big boys! He told me that my work is alot better than some he has witnessed at the museum.......Got my fingers crossed....

Some of it is going for a new Samick Sage Trad bow with the proper arrows and accessories. Alot more is going toward my new art studio I bought. It will be delivered next week and I will need some interior paint and carpet. Also, I have to put up three 4X8 sheets of 3/4 in. wafer board which was missing, plus one sheet of T-111 on the exterior that whoever had it before me tore off where there was a door or a window. It is 12X36 and when I walked in I knew I had to have it. It was walled with 3/4 inch thick boards which is super and it had all the electrical work done plus a dividing wall which gave me a storage room at 10X12.....I'm really excited about this building cause it will give me the studio I've been wanting, ever since I came to Bama........Needless to say, I love my art and shooting the bows.....I'm looking forward to the Sage, it will give me a chance to go back to my roots and shoot a traditional bow. I love the simplicity and the lightness of a trad bow........

Remmy you should consider treating yourself to a little "stress reduction" as Smash suggested. Go for it...you deserve it

Oh,but how I wish I could.........but life isn't all that simple. I've got all kinds of baggage to carry around that would ostracize, probably cathorize, if not worse and shoot me in the face with a bazooka........ what your saying and advising me would cause me mucho harm!

Congratulations on your new found success.

I was really impressed with the art that you shared with us, and although I'm not a qualified critic, I too would say that your skills and art are worthy of a museum.

Thanks you guys, now if I can just get into the Booth Museum of Western Art, I will be very happy indeed. From what I've heard from some folks that have ties with that Museum, I may have the road opened to me. That would be a shinning moment in my life. Not only that, the prices on my paintings would double at the least. The girl here who owns a gallery on the square in Talladega said my prices were way too low so I might get the chance to up the value of my paintings........
