He made it through gun season
What a nice Christmas present this was when I pulled my last cam. This buck was 8 years old this year. I sure wish I knew where he goes during the season. I spent all archery season hunting less than half mile from where I got this picture, which is only a few hundred yards from where I got it before the season. One of these years I hope to catch up to him before its too late.
This is the first picture I got of him, 2007.
Wow that is really great. Also pretty amazing how is antlers are nearly identical in that span. Do you have any other pictures of him over the years?

Big buck, I hope you get him next year
It's always nice when the one your hunting makes it through! Even though you didn't get him this season you know next year he'll probably be bigger, but wiser too.

i doubt at this point in his life he is going to get any bigger. I think this year was the smallest he's ever been. I don't know if you can attribute that to his age or the very hard winter we had last year. So far this winter has been very mild with minimal snows so hopefully he is packing on his weight that he lost during the rut, before winter decides to actually show up.
Nice buck to make it through...Go look for his sheds come spring!
Looks like his antler size has started to shrink a little...
