Default If and when will Elite come out w/ stick bow?

Does Elite have in its future a good recurve bow? I'm looking for one to kinda return to my roots, having shot Bear Grizzlys and Kodiak Specials during my younger years. The clubs I belong to have a class for the long bows and I'm gonna get one for the next day shoots......Right now I'm looking at a Martin Jaquar takedown and a PSE Mustang. Anyone have advice on these bows are any other good medium priced recurve bow? Thanks....

in the price range you are thinking I would recommend one of the many Samicks avail
Ragim has some decent ones, and "blems" are always avail on auctions, and it is only cosmetic
I am a little spoiled by my Widow PCH-X, but I have owned many lower priced bows prior, and they all did well

I've done some research and got info from friends on here and I've decided on the Samick Sage.........from all the reviews I've read at Lancasters and over on AT, the Samick is a great bow for the money. I think I will order one in a few days.......right now I'm just trying to get my art show ready. When that is over I can get back to some serious shooting and getting ready for the R-100 at Wetumpka, AL the 3rd and 4th of March!

If you switch to a stick bow Remmy you might not be able to hit the broad side of a barn anymore !

I have you know, I've been known to do more than that. I hit the side of a tree one time and the arrow went skyward, crossed the street and stuck in the side of our neighbors house. Thank goodness they weren't home and I had time to dig it out before they arrived......never did here anything from them about that little hole!

Very funny, reminds me of my first "sky shot" being an 8 years old child or about; I was using my first "serious bow", a 15# green fiberglass recurve with a bulky white rubber grip (I used to string it like a longbow since I was afraid it could brake; it still shoots both ways in the hands of every child I find interested in trying it); I didnīt suspect how superior its performance was to my simple wooden selfmade ones, and it reached neighbourīs terrace 35 yards away; in fact I did a hole in one because the arrow reached their mop bucket. My 2 years elder brother took the responsability to go to their home and ask the arrow back. I donīt remember them being scared or angry, probably though it was a childrenīs game without added danger ..

Back on topic, I still love my old Martin Superdiablo (hence my screen name) 60x60. It is a dacron model, probably I bought it around 1989 since I remember my friend Antonio Rebollo borrowed it for his first training sessions to light up the Olimpic Torch at Barcelona ī92 Olimpic games. He finally used a Martin Mamba which was 58" and 65# if I remember well. Wooden veneers on the Superdiablo where nicer through the clear glass facing as opposed to the Mamba dark glass laminations.
What about finding a used one from an upper quality? I am completely in love with the Black Widows and my next recurve will be one of them when it comes the moment for sure!
Sorry for the long post, but you touched a nerve or two

I'm gonna order me a Samick Sage in a few weeks. I've seen nothing but good reviews about that bow.........I want one for the stick bow class at 3-D shoots.

    rembrant,

You may also want to have a look at the Tradtech line up of take down recurves with the ILF risers and limbs. They are an excellent shooting bow and IMO are a lot better then the Samicks. If and thats a big if I ever give up my Bear Super Kodiak, the Tradtech would be my next choice.
The ILF limbs and risers are interchangable and offer you quite a variance in styles of bows you can shoot such as recurve or longbow limbs utilizing the same riser. There are also quite a few manufacturers who make ILF limbs so even that in itself gives you more options in the future.
Have a look at AT, Stick and String and Tradtalk forums as you maybe able to pick a good used one in your price range.
