I turned my man card for 70# bows a while back and my shoulders continue thank each and every time I shoot but I am also 43 not the strapping 23 year old I once was...aging tends to have its way with knees and shoulders.

My 70 pound Answer is backed off to 65#. That is just what I like to shoot. I'm trying to find a set of 123def. limbs to make it a 65# max bow so I'll likely sell or trade the 114's (70# on Answer) when I find some.

Ya and they are probably all in Ninja too. That is all I am finding are Ninja bows.

I believe Elite stated they started with all Ninja's in 60 lb with 28" & 29" mods, then they went from what I have heard and it could be wrong and started making AT & camo Answer's in the same configuration. All the 70 lb Answer's and different mods were run later, again from what I heard most wanted 60 lb bows since the speed loss is minimal against a 70 lb Answer.

Perhaps the mean age of archers is increasing... If that is the case; older participants = lower poundage bows.

I can't agree more with the OP. I have always shot 70lbs and maxed usually get 72 or 73. Try getting 80lbs which is a real man's bow. The 70's will work but have you ever shot one pin out to 40 yds. try it you'll like it. I only shoot one pin and have been lucky to take nice bucks out to 40 yds right on. Now my quest is to find an Elite fast enough to shoot one pin out to 50yds. and feel like my Pure. Possible? maybe I have bought and sold 7 Elites so far looking for "THE ONE" maybe a 80 lb GT500!!!!!

Mine is maxed at 62. I liked the feel of the 65 set on my uncles mathews z. And would like to get limbs for my Z28 to max it at 65, but for 3 more lbs. Not sure I want to spend $100 to get it there. The 70# Z28 was too much for me and I didnt want to have to turn the bow down. So I went with the 60. Still shoots fast enough for me.
