Default G5 doing Elites Quality Control??

    Just read this on AT:

Ok, so I have an elite dealer that wont sell me an answer. Shoots great, heres the problem.G5 was in charge of quality control for elite bows last year. G5 dropped them due to not being able to keep up with orders. SO APPARENTLY, hear say, elite is doing the finishes themsleves and now the risors are chipping bad, limbs don't have that smooth feel eighter, its somewhat ruff.Although cosmetic,I wonder what elites plan is on this. All companies have these issues at one time or another.; Hope they make a good decision in ordewr to keep there oustanding rep..

Any truth to this? I have only heard about 1 Answer with a finish problem and that's the one a dealer was trying to sell on AT even after being given an RA#.

    Pete, please chime in here!

AT our shop weve had no problems with the finish for 2012 as a matter of fact the finish looks a little better then last years.AS far as Elite and g5 departing it was due to conflict in interest so i was told,If there is any problems with the finish they will stand behind it.

This topic has been discussed a few times and they indeed have parted ways. It doesn't appear there are any issues with the camo finishes, but imo, the quality of black powder coating is not what it has been in past years. A couple other members have noted the same. Not a big enough deal for me regret ordering a ninja.

My black riser will have to be blasted and redone after deer season ends. It is chipping badly in some places. Sharpy is keeping busy with this bow. As for the limbs, I have nvg limbs on it for now!

Can you post a picture of this? I want to see the chipping and NVG limbs on an Answer. Heck, you beat the Texans to NVG'ing an Answer!

I havent seen it yet. Hope I dont either. If its really bad I would call them and see what can be done.
Ive seen lines under the finish on the black limbs but more so in years past. Never bothered me but I can see some wouldnt like it.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.

Pic is from the Thanksgiving morning hunt with the wife.

I have about six chips on the riser. Looks like it flakes up. Not worried. I have a bead and sand blaster at work. Just not sure what to do to protect the logo and Answer insert. I can't show good pics right now. The sharpie hides them too well. Again no complaints. I will fix it up.

Come on Tomkat04 , you paid good money for a new bow . My dealer would be ordering out a new riser for me before your head could spin . New bow all markered up thats crazy . Even if you can do the work , you should'nt have to . Unless you were going to all NVG anyway ? [yuck]

Yikes, I surely hope this has been corrected! I can tell you if my riser flakes I will freak out. Heck if the limbs have lines in them I won't even buy the bow this week when it comes in. I am not spending hundreds of dollars for a bow that has lines in it from the start. That is one of the things that originally attracted me to Elite was the finish, I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident. I have had a few "ninja" Elite bows and the finish was always flawless.

So yeah, I've had a few issues with quality as of late, I'm hoping it's due to the change in processes and will get better in the future. QC has been dropping the ball IMO, these limbs should have never made it out the door. Yes they sent me a new pair but the inconvenience of driving 45 min one way to my dealer is a pain in the arse.
