    Default G5 Customer Service?

Does anyone have any experience with them. I contacted them about something bad that happened with a striker broadhead. Basically, I had a bad shot on an 8 pointer and hit him in his shoulder. I let him lay overnight and went back the next day to look for him. At the point of impact, I found laying in the grass 2 of the blades! They were slightly bent and the edges were chipped up a bit. After 5 hours of tracking him I lost the trail, I had to give up. Very sick over this, the bad shot, the broadhead issue, and especially the lost deer.

If you admittedly made a bad shot what do you expect G5 customer service to do for you? Just curious.

I have had great service from them, getting replacement parts for G5 rests.

The only time I had to use their warranty was to replace a meta peep and it was taken care of quickly.

I guess my question would be what do you expect them to do? I doubt many mechanicals can withstand impact with bone nor are they known to blow through bone, with the exception of ribs.

yeah i don't really know what I expect but I shoot fixed blades and I don't expect 2 blades to come off on impact.

Sorry about that! My bad. As soon as I read about blades coming off, my mind goes right to mechanicals! Even with bone impact, I do think it is kind of strange that a fixed blade came apart.

That is weird that the blades came off, I shoot the G5 Carbon Steels and they are awesome and durable. I was looking at the Strikers but with the CS you can easily resharpen them

I guess I am just wondering if it was a defective head. I have never had blades come off of a fixed blade and I have used many different broadheads and although I have never hit a shoulder with one before I have hit rocks and trees in my yard before.

At least the blades arent left in the deer to cause internal damage over time. The deer should recover just fine, if it was a bad shot. Tough telling what part of the deer you actually hit. Maybe the arrow passed through and hit something to break the blades. I could be totally off base, just thinking outside the box.
