    Default The Answer Texas Style

Let me preface my post by saying that the other boys have video and their impressions of shooting the bow today. They also went through a detailed scenario of shooting different grain arrows through the chrono and will report their findings forthcoming.

The Answer came out of the box at 58lbs and very close to 29" draw. The bow shot well but a few adjustments were needed to find the "sweet spot" Those adjustments were made and when we tested the bow it was at 29/62. It performed its best at these specs. The bow peaks the draw weight early in the cycle but smoothly transitions to the wall. NO ROLLOVER!!! It is rock solid period. I must say that this new bow is the quietest Elite I have ever shot and since owning almost every model since 2006 I have had a bunch to compare it to. Shooting it with a Stokerized stab made this bow absolutely dead after the shot. Much more than any from past memory. Unlike the 2010 and 2011 models where you drew the bow back and felt like you could hold it forever (which I believe makes you relax and effects your accuracy), this bow does not feel like that despite only holding around 5lbs. It gives you the feeling that you are pushing and pulling getting ready to execute your shot. At 29/62 I remember one of the speeds hitting 319fps with an IBO arrow. This with a loop on the string. It is a pleasure to shoot and I liken it to a super upgraded GTO if that's possible. We compared it to many older Elite bows that were 29/60 models. Synergy, GTO, Z28 and Hunter. The Answer is smoother, quiter and faster than them all and is deader on the shot than any of them in my opinion. I want one for sure and in Snow camo (whether it snows here or not) and in 70lbs. It seems that Elite (since Pete and crew took the reins) is just getting better and better. Y'all know how I like the longer ATA bows but I can shoot this one and shoot it good. I can't wait for the camo models to come out so I can add this great bow to my stable. Congrats to all the Elite crew for making another bow that is simply better than the last.

I'll get more details from you tomorrow.
It sounds like a homerun for Elite again.
I ordered a 70lb. AT/AP version , so let's see who gets their's first this time. You beat me last year but the LEFTY's are supposed to be coming much quicker.

BTW, Where did you shoot it?
Sorry I missed your call Jeff. It's date night with the wife and the kids are at grandpa's.

Nice review! Elite hit it out of the park with this bow. It is just like you said, super smooth with a great transition into the valley, very dead and very, very quiet.

    Thanks for the review, TEX!

I'm with you on that statement... this company just seems to get better every year with Pete at the reigns. IMHO, it seems more thought goes into the design, and the bows are improving as a result of the time spent.

I can't wait to give this bow a shot. My dealers were both supposed to have it in hand, but neither received it. I'm a bit bummed since I'll be in Phoenix for the next week... I'll just have to sit back and watch reviews until then.

I'm very interested in seeing the speed comparos vs. all the other bows at the same specs, through the same chrony!

Something minor that I failed to mention. All of the mod screws are back to T20's again (AWESOME) and nobody should have any issues whatsoever with different length's and having to loctite them like last years T15's. Another great move on Elite's part. They are making the absolute best bows they can.
