Default GT-500 Tail Right Tear Won't Go Away

I have an 09 GT500 and while paper tuning, I can not get rid of a slight tail right tear. It is about 1/2 to 3/4" long. I am shooting at 62 lbs with a GT XT 55/75 with blazers and a limb driver. I appear to have clearance past the cable and the rest should be getting out of the way but the tear still stays the same. I tried bumping the rest away from the riser but it still didn't change and I then ran out of room as the prongs of the rest would hit on the dished out part of the riser. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try next?

I also have a 2009 GT-500 and had the same problem as you only my tears were longer. I called the tech people at Elite about it and they sent me a new set of shims. I installed them and it reduced the length of my tears by 50% or more. At that point I moved on to walk back tuning and completed it with no problem. I had no problems shooting field tips or fixed broadheads after that. At the end of last deer season I was doing a little target shooting and there was a paper tuner at the range, so just for the heck of it I shot thru paper. Bullet hole after bullet hole. I guess the adjustments I made during walk back tuning corrected whatever the problem was. Don't get to overly concerened about putting bullet holes in paper, move on to more important things and enjoy your bow. I own 5 bows and the GT-500 is my favorite. I also read a sticky on this site from an experienced archer on hand placement with a GT-500. You may benefit from reading it. GOOD LUCK
