Need help with grips for 2008s

I contacted torqueless grips and bowgrips and was informed that I cant get grips for my 2008.5 Gt500 and Z28 .. Emmm Im not to happy about that .. Well I do have an idea and with all of your help I can get it done .. I do perform some gun smithing at home mostly bedding jobs . If I can find a current yrs model torqueless grip that closest fits the 2008.5 GT500 and Z28 , Im thinking I can sand down and retrofit them to my 08.5s . I can use my release agent on the riser release handle and put a little bedding compound in the inside of the torqueless grips to have a perfect mated fit .

So for those of you that have some 08.5s around the house or shop and have some current yr model torqueless grips please compare them and give me some feedback on them .
