Default how to quiet a judge

How can I quiet my judge? I have monkey tails, limbsavers, elite stab, and nothing seems to help the noise. I love the bow but cant stand how loud the bow is. It is timed well also. What can I do? Is there really anything I can do. My friend says his GT500 is the same way. others say their elite bows are quiet but mine definitely is not.

where do you think noise is coming from? have you shot it with out sights and stab?
some have found that the string supp rod is the culprit, they have put some rubber grip stuff in before the rod and it took some buzz out of bow. I have owned 4 gt's and none were loud by any means. alot have also found that timming is usually the prob. everything tight?-draw stops? limb pocket bolts?

Even if you think everything is tight double check, also sometimes the mods can be the problem and what I have done is taken them off and taken string wax and rubbed it on the side that contacts the cam and then reinstalled them on again. Also make sure your arrows are not too light as light arrows allow for more vibration. If that's not it then I would start to slowly remove different items like sight, quiver and such one at a time to see if you can find the culprit to the excess noise.

I just recently got a judge and found that adjusting the string stop helped to quiet the noise .I moved it a few times to find the sweet spot.

teedoff has the right answer, start there and use cat whiskers not monkey tails !!!
to light of an arrow also makes it loud!!!

I have not shot the GTO but on my gt500 with a 400g arrow at 63 lbs it had like a hollow thud noise... i added limb savers to the riser above the sight, the treaded type, and tightened them down one on either side of the riser, and the first shot with it, my wife at 30 yards from me asked. "what did you do different? all I can here now is the arrow hitting the target! it is way more quiet now! I was thinking about adding a set below the string stop as well, but I happy with it now.

Seems that the longer risers can act as a tunning fork, and can cause a bit more noise some times.

make sure you have about a credit card width gap between your string stop and the string. what rest do you have on the bow? does it hit the shelf?

I don't know what type of sight you have but I have found a couple that have quick vertical and horizontal adjustments that loosen after a few shots. It almost sounds like a twang when the bow is shot. It wasn't that easy to find it the first judge I had in the shop that did that. Everything on the seemed tight but when turned it was a bit loose. I put a drop of loctite blue on the threads and let it dry. Might be your problem might not, but worth a check anyway....

Does removing the sight eliminate the noise?

I assume cams are synched properly?

What quiver? Remove it and listen.

Try having somebody else hold the bow and then you place your ear code to the bow and start thumping the riser with a fist, and see if you can find where the noise is coming from.

    My Judge is very quiet.

I would think that it's the mods. Try some 2009 cams & see if that helps
