Default Impressed with my "new" XXL... so far

Just bought my first Elite bow this past weekend. I've been wanting to get one for a while but just never did. Found a great deal on a lightly used XXL and spent a couple hours on the garage this afternoon getting it set up. Well, it did something no other bow of mine has ever done... blew through my (not very old) Redhead Bag target 3 out of 6 arrows at 15 yards. Only time I've ever had an arrow go through is when doing heavy shooting and I forget to "fluff" it after a few rounds... and even then 1 out of 12 might go through a bit.

I can't wait to get it fully tuned and put a few through the chrono. I'm shooting 30 in. draw @ 62 lbs w/ 28.75 in., 340 gr., Easton Surgical Flatlines. It's definitely cooking!

Congrats. XXL was a sleeper in 08, but is my favorite Elite to date.

Like the others have said congrats, the XXL was my first and the only Elite that would reach my dl without a lot of modifications. I still have two of them and would not hesitate to buy another.

Amazing. Congrats on getting an XXL. I had one of the first one's in Dec 2007 and wish I still had it. It wasn't a fast bow by any means but it sure was accurate. Like a dummy I let her go. Keep a good hold on that one!!!

Glad to hear the positive feedback from everyone! Last time I bought a bow (Reezen 7) I did test shoot it but not enough. After two weeks I hated it... had a couple of buddies that wouldn't let me live down the "I told you so" for a while. So far I have not heard one person give one single complaint about the XXL, can't wait to get to the range!

My favorite bow I've ever had. Still have one and will probably never be without it.

I will never sell my xxl. Slow!!! not sure if 300 fps is slow but mine fluctuates between 295 and 300 30" dl and shooting victories with 100 gr. heads and set at 70lbs. I bought an xlr and pure since but when all said and done the xxl will be in the stand just as much.

Went to shoot a bit more today... looks like I need a new target. This bag I have has never failed me before with the exception of extensive shooting sessions. This target will just not stop the arrows out of this bow! Being that I know for fact my Strother Inspire last year was shooting these same arrows at 292 fps I have to believe this is over 300. Not that that matters, I just have never had a bow with this much energy before... especially one that feels this good!

Anyone have anything like this happen before?

I can't say that mine shoots any harder than any of my other bows but u will darn sure shoot the center out of a target sooner.
