What is more accurate? Double caliper, single caliper or hook?
Or does it really matter?

Not sure if a Chocolate Addiction is considered a hook or caliper by your definition but that's what I use. I was a huge fan of the Scott Mongose till I tried a thumb release. I have used a double caliper and really didn't like it, but I did like the theory of it.....But that was before I ever heard of shooting off a loop.

To me a hook shoots better off a loop for me. Maybe its just the release I'm comfortable with. '11 scott silverhorn.
Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

I rally don't think the (style) matters as much as the fit and the quality. I've tried nearly all the releases made. You have to be comfortable, and have a little (faith?) in your equipment. It's the one that gives you the same anchor every time. I experimented alot last winter, I wanted a new style release, ended up buying what I had before.
The only thing I have noticed over the years is caliper style releases tent to wear the loop or string faster, because they will rub both side of the serving or loop as the it pulls through the release jaws.
EAT, SLEEP, BOW HUNT!!!!!
I just ordered a new Scott Rhino XT, should be in Wednesday. I am looking for a release with very little/if any trigger travel that breaks clean. Once I found out you can adjust trigger tension and travel independantly on this XT, I had to get one to try.
Most accurate? The experts say the hook style is the most accurate. I guess thats why most target releases are a hook style.
