    Default Carter Target 4+

I just bought a used Carter Target 4 to replace my messed up Truball Max Pro 4. My TB has a swivel head and the Carter does not. If my hand position isn't consistent, will this impart torque?

I think a Target 4 is very similiar to a Chocolate 4 except you have to manually close the hook on the Target. If you draw and then turn your knuckles towards your jawbone I think you will be fine. It will twist your D-loop but that's ok so does mine.

Does the Chocolate click upon release? If I like this release, I want to use it for hunting also. Just wandering if the clicking could cause a deer to drop.

The Chocolate clicks but by the time the deer hear it an arrow is through the boiler room. I've been hunting with a Chocolate Addiction for 5 years with no issues.

I hunt with a Target 4 and have no troubles with the noise and deer ducking the string.

Dloop is what eliminates torque with a release.

I thought that may be the case, but then wondered why some releases have a swivel head?

Thank you for all the responses guys!

Gotta do something different to get folks to buy. 15 and 20 year old Carters are still on the market doing what they do.

I can't t wait to get it. I was checking one out at a shop, but couldn't bring myself to spend $190 for a new one. They just felt so solid and crisp, so I bought one off of AT for $110 with all the springs.
