Any one have an opinion on which is the better case? I want to buy something that is of good quality this time around as I want the GT500 protected. Any help or opinion is appreciated.

I've never tried Vanguard but always had good luck with SKB.
Now a third just got thrown in the mix, the pole mountain. its a bit more money but found them online for 150 as factory seconds. I think I may try this route.

i cant speak to the Vanguard but i can to the 4119. The 4119 is solid case and my Z fits great.
I shopped around for the best priced hard case for travel. I came up with the SKB 4119. Some really cool features are in the locks when travelling by plane. The locks are TSA recognized, which means you lock the case and the TSA has the key to access. No need to keep the case unlocked. Plus it comes with all the SKB warrenties etc...
The only thing i have to figure out is that the arrow holders are velco and those dont hold as well as i would have hoped. They fall off during travel...
But other than that i love it..
