Any good numbers this week? I'm not thrilled with my 296 but alot happier than my 291 from last week.

Is anyone really working at this stuff or just going out and shooting a score? The guys I shot spots with here pretty much just show up every thursday night and shoot. These spots eat me up. I work at it quit a bit just not very good considering the time I put in to it.

Be cautious about being upset with one of the best scores posted thus far. You should be stoked with a score like that, IMO. I see this with every sport I've ever competed in... the best guys playing seem to be the least thrilled with their performance. Kind of a weird phenomenon.

I tweaked my setup quite a bit this week, and actually shot a few points less. I did shoot a few rounds in a short period, so I'm not yet sure if it was just fatigue, or if I am simply more used to my old setup. My goal for the year is to hit a 290... I've been close both weeks now, but just barely missing it.

This is my first time shooting spots, so I have a lot to learn, but I feel as though I'm working at it quite a bit to improve. My ultimate goal, however, is that all this practice shooting spots pays off for my distance shooting once hunting season comes around.

I was the same place a few years ago looking for that 290. Well once you get there then anything less annoys you. Same once you have hit 295. I have shot a 300 vegas round once so that quest to do that consistantly is what I'm after. It sounds like you are doing things the right way. Set those goals and go after them. Then up your goals by 5 points.

Well this is my first time spots. 273 each week for the first two weeks. I sold my katera xl to by this Gt 500 and can't seem to shoot it as well. I sure like the feel fit and finish more. If I can only learn how to shoot it!

I shot another 299/17X...a few less X's then last week. I put new cams and strings on my XLR Friday, threw my Axcell hunting sight on, and got a quick mark at 20 for my FMJ's. I haven't shot a pin since LAS Classic, and I'm not used to a pin that small. May change a few things around, but getting really busy with outdoor championship shoots, and states, so we'll see whatrs happens. Just need to concentrate on that stuff right now. Keep practicing. I know I spent many a mornings and evenings sweating my butt off in the summer working on my indoor game, but it eventually paid off. The only problem is when you hit those scores, everyone expects it all the time....can be frustarting at times, but stick with it!!!

Score went down this week but I also changed bows. Went from a 60# Gt to a 70# Hunter. My overall score was lower but my second round was higher in points and X count than last week. I could have probably improved my score if I shot again but didn't have time. I am going to stick with the Hunter through this from here on out since I would really like to use it in the field this season.

I gotta quit procrastinating and get busy shooting. This dang heat has me wanting to stay inside.

I know what you mean. I shot yesterday, but it was ugly. Meant to shoot another round today but think I got a touch of dehydration from working outside all day and was just too tired to move when I got home and sat on the couch. Just sat there and drank gatorade all night watching the home run derby.

Went down just slightly this week 254 1X but also was shooting yesterday and found I'm just not shooting as well with the one release as the other, so back to my old release for the next round.

All for fun, i'm enjoying this
